What are Separators?
Separating elastics are placed between your molar teeth to create small spaces, this will make the placement of the metal bands easier at your next appointment
- Avoid hard or sticky foods including lollies and chewing gum as they may dislodge the separators. If you have some discomfort with chewing, try softer foods.
- Brush normally around the separators but please do not use dental floss or toothpicks where the separators are placed.
- If any of these separators fall out before your next appointment, please contact our rooms.
