Give your child the smile they deserve with Invisalign

People of all ages are suitable for orthodontic treatment:children, teens and adults. At Angle House Orthodontics we pride ourselves on achieving excellent results, no matter what age our patients may be.

When should my child see an orthodontist?

According to the Australian Society of Orthodontists (ASO), the optimum time for an orthodontic assessment is from the age of 7. At this stage in your child’s life, their jaws are relatively soft so movement is much easier to achieve. Having an orthodontic assessment early in life enables us to effectively treat bad bites (also called malocclusions) and correct the position of the jaw if required. Our orthodontic treatments are available for all age groups; they’re just a little more straightforward at a younger age.

Why we focus on correcting your child’s jaw position

Achieving perfectly straight teeth requires more than simply moving your teeth into position. As orthodontists, we also look at your jaw structure and your overall facial profile. At Angle House Orthodontics, straightening teeth is an art form, which is only a success if we’ve completely aligned all elements.

How Invisalign aligners can straighten your child’s teeth

At Angle House Orthodontics we use two Invisalign methods to straighten your child’s teeth. We use Invisalign First and Extended Invisalign.

  • Invisalign with precision wings
  • Invisalign with precision wings
  • Invisalign with precision wings

Invisalign First

Invisalign First aligners have been designed to treat children’s teeth from the ages of 7 to 10 years. Known as Phase 1 orthodontic treatment, Invisalign First are comfortable clear aligners that treat a wide range of teeth straightening issues including spacing, crowding and narrow dental arches. These removable virtually invisible aligners make it easy for your child to brush and floss their teeth. This early stage Invisalign orthodontic treatment has been designed to make the experience a positive one for your child. Using a series of clear aligners, Invisalign First adapts as your child grows.

Extended Invisalign

At Angle House Orthodontics, Extended Invisalign is typically used to treat patients with a backward positioned lower jaw (also known as Class II malocclusion). This orthodontic treatment is used to fix overbites in tweens and teens while their teeth are straightened. These Invisalign clear aligners have a set of ‘precision wings’ that gradually move the lower jaw into correct position. Extended Invisalign improves your child’s smile by improving their bite and the appearance of their chin. Removable, comfortable and virtually invisible, Extended Invisalign gives our younger patients beautiful smiles and perfectly straight teeth.

Perfecting your child’s smile

We’re excited at Angle House Orthodontics to be able to offer the latest Invisalign First and Extended Invisalign aligners for our child and tween patients. This orthodontic treatment helps us correct our younger patients’ jaw alignment to create perfectly straight teeth and a beautiful smile. Book your child in for their early orthodontic consultation.

Invisalign aligners are a registered medical device, you should always read and follow the label and the instructions of your treating orthodontist.
